The Ministry of Digital Transformation announced that Parliament supported draft law №12094, which sets internet speed as an official indicator of service quality.
At first glance — it looks like progress.
It sounds like operators will now be obliged to provide “normal” speeds.
But anyone living in Ukraine understands one thing:
when new rules come from the top — there’s always a risk that, in practice, responsibility will be shifted back onto users.
Especially in rural areas, private houses, farms, remote villages — where internet is often needed for work, safety, monitoring and communication with units.
And almost always this will result in the same statement:
“This is because YOUR conditions are wrong… YOU are too far… YOU have poor location…”
On paper — everything looks fine.
In reality — people again will have to solve connectivity themselves.
What this law actually changes for people outside cities
-
speed will become an “official standard”
but if it’s low — it doesn’t mean someone will actually build a new tower for you. -
users will be able to measure quality themselves
this will just confirm what everyone already knows: signal is often weak. -
removing moratorium on license checks
but that doesn’t guarantee tower deployment where it’s truly needed. -
national roaming will stay
but without boosting signal — this won’t magically help rural users.
Military units, territorial defense, volunteer groups — same situation
Positions change, relocations happen constantly — and internet must work instantly.
No law provides stable signal automatically.
Reality: if you want stable 4G outside the city — you must boost signal with an antenna
4G covers most of Ukraine.
But you need the right hardware to actually “take” that signal from the tower.
In rural zones the most effective setup is: external directional MIMO antenna + 4G router with autonomous battery power.
Not because someone “said so”.
Because this is how radio actually works.
Instead of waiting for others — secure real internet locally
We recommend a ready solution specifically for rural areas and remote locations:
High-speed 4G kit ERGO R0516B + MIMO 2×15 dBi antenna + cables + adapters + battery
Why this kit:
-
router with built-in battery → can work without 220V
-
MIMO directional antenna → stable reception at long distances
-
full complete set — no need to buy extra parts
-
can work even where phones show “almost no signal”
-
works with all Ukrainian operators
This kit does not wait for “progress” or “regulation”.
It delivers stable connection NOW.
Conclusion
Parliament can set standards.
Operators can present great PR statements.
But stable internet in a village, on farmland, in a private house or in a rear military location — is provided not by law, but by hardware that actually amplifies signal.
If you want normal internet right now — you secure it yourself.
With your own equipment.
