📡 Ukraine is preparing for the second stage of 5G testing.
After the technology is tested in Lviv this autumn, the next cities will be Kharkiv and Borodyanka.

At first, it was planned that this stage would include only Kyiv and Odesa. But now they decided to add cities that were damaged by shelling.

Why is this important?

In Kharkiv and Borodyanka, they will check how 5G works where the infrastructure is partly destroyed. This means:

  • possible power outages;

  • limited resources;

  • tough conditions for communication.

If the technology “survives” in such conditions — it’s ready for anything.

What will it bring?

The test results will help to understand:

  • if 5G can be used to quickly restore cities;

  • how the technology can become the basis for “smart” services in the future.

What about 3G?

By 2030, Ukraine will fully switch to modern communication standards, mainly 4G. This will happen gradually, so people won’t even notice when the old technologies disappear.

Benefits:

  • faster internet;

  • more stable connection;

  • the ability to connect more users without losing speed.

📲 The goal is to bring high-quality connection to every corner of the country.
