Ready-to-use kit
The router, two Mobile Guard Mini antennas and two adapters are already matched with each other. Only an operator SIM card is required for operation.
What this kit is for
The kit is designed for situations where mobile Internet is needed not only in one place. While driving, a vehicle moves between coverage areas and different frequency bands: in the city, the operator may use 1800, 2100 or 2600 MHz, while outside the city and on the highway, lower 700 and 900 MHz frequencies become more important.
That is why Mobile Guard Mini has a wide operating range of 650–2800 MHz. The antennas do not need to be changed depending on the route — one kit is designed to work in the city, suburbs and far beyond them.
The main advantage of the kit: a compact external MIMO system for mobile Internet on the road without being tied to a single frequency band.
Why external antennas are especially useful in a vehicle
The metal body of a vehicle partially shields the radio signal. A smartphone or router located inside the cabin receives the signal only after it passes through body elements and glass.
In this kit, two Mobile Guard Mini antennas are installed outside — on the metal surface of the roof. This makes it possible to move the receiving part of the system outside the cabin and reduce the effect of shielding by the vehicle body.
The antennas operate outside the metal body of the vehicle.
Two TS9 ports of the ZTE U50 are used in MIMO 2×2 mode.
The 650–2800 MHz operating range is suitable for different route conditions.
The router distributes Wi-Fi to several devices in the cabin at once.

Frequently asked questions
Is this kit specifically for a vehicle?
Yes, vehicle use is one of the main scenarios. Two Mobile Guard Mini antennas are installed outside on the metal roof, the cables are routed into the cabin, and the ZTE U50 creates a Wi-Fi network inside the vehicle.
Why is it better to install the antennas on the roof?
The metal body partially shields the mobile signal. Placing the antenna outside allows it to be moved beyond the cabin. Installation on a metal surface is also important for a vehicle antenna.
Can the kit be used on highways and outside the city?
Yes. Mobile Guard Mini operates in the 650–2800 MHz range, including 900 MHz LTE Band 8, which is especially important for coverage on highways, in small settlements and at significant distances from large cities.
Can the kit be used in the city?
Yes. The Mobile Guard Mini operating range also covers 1800, 2100 and 2600 MHz — frequencies used by mobile operators in urban networks.
Do Mobile Guard Mini antennas work with 5G?
Yes, but it is important to consider the frequency. The 650–2800 MHz range covers 700 MHz and allows the antennas to be used with 5G NR n28. The 5G n78 band at 3300–3800 MHz is outside the Mobile Guard Mini operating range.
Does the ZTE U50 itself support 5G?
Yes. The ZTE U50 is a 5G/4G mobile router. At the same time, the ability to use a specific external antenna with a specific 5G band is determined by the antenna's own operating frequency range.
Why are two antennas needed?
Two Mobile Guard Mini antennas connect to the two TS9 ports of the ZTE U50 and are used as an external MIMO 2×2 system.
Do I need to buy anything else?
The main components are already included in the kit: ZTE U50, two Mobile Guard Mini antennas and two adapters for connection to TS9. An operator SIM card is required for access to the mobile network.
Which operators does the kit work with?
The ZTE U50 can work with SIM cards from Ukrainian operators Kyivstar, Vodafone and lifecell. The actual result depends on the available coverage and network of the specific operator in your location.
Is 2 meters of cable enough for a vehicle?
Each Mobile Guard Mini comes with a two-meter RG58 cable. This length is designed for installing the antenna on the roof of most passenger cars and routing the cable to the router inside the cabin.
Can the ZTE U50 be used without external antennas?
Yes. The ZTE U50 has its own internal antennas and can operate independently. Mobile Guard Mini antennas are used as an external antenna system to move signal reception outside the cabin and operate through the two external TS9 ports.
Will the antenna create a signal where there is no network at all?
No. Mobile Guard Mini is a passive antenna and does not create mobile coverage. The result depends on the availability of the operator's signal, the frequency used, distance to the base station, terrain, buildings and installation location.
