1. Connecting to the Wi-Fi network of the modem
Turn on the modem: Connect the ZTE MF79U to the USB port for power. The modem will automatically create a Wi-Fi network to which you can connect from a smartphone, tablet or computer.
Connect to Wi-Fi: Find the Wi-Fi network created by the ZTE MF79U modem on your device. Connect to it using the network name (SSID) and password indicated on the sticker under the cover of the modem.

 

2. Login to the web interface of the modem
Access the interface: Open a web browser on a device connected to Wi-Fi and enter the IP address of the modem: 192.168.0.1. This will take you to the modem settings login page.
Login to the system: Enter the administrator password indicated on the sticker under the modem cover. Click "Login" to log in.

 

3. Checking the network signal level
Signal level: After entering the web interface, the start page will display the network signal level, network type and other important parameters. This information will help you understand how stable the connection is and whether you need to optimize the location of the antennas.

 

4. Setting the network type
Select network type: In the web interface, go to "My Router" and select "LTE Settings". In the "Network Selection" section, you can choose the desired network type:
Automatic: The modem automatically connects to the most available network.
4G Only: The modem will connect only to the LTE network, which will ensure the maximum connection speed.
3G Only: The modem will only work on the UMTS/HSPA network.
2G Only: The modem will only connect to the GSM/EDGE network.
Saving settings: Click "Apply" to save the selected mode.

 

5. Tuning antennas
Optimizing the signal: Connect the antennas to the modem via TS9 adapters and install them in the best place for signal reception (for example, on the roof or mast). Adjust the position of the antennas by monitoring the signal level in the web interface to achieve the best possible connection.
